I carried out a work experience placement over the summer of 2011 and was asked to photograph the current exhibition for any future press the gallery may have regarding the exhibition
Pieces from this exhibition will next be on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum, from 31st March-12th August 2012 as part of the British Design 1948- 2012: Innovation in a Modern Age exhibition

India; Mumbai
During the summer of 2011, I spent a month in Mumbai, on the west coast of India. The combination of popular culture coupled with ancient and religious concepts is a mix that I’ve only ever experienced in India
These photographs were simply to document my travel and the things I experienced, such as the image of the Tobacco Paan that I tried (centre top)

These portraits were one of the first things that I developed in a dark room myself
I played around with the original images and edited them to create stylized versions, which I feel are more visually enticing, considering both subjects expressions
